Facilities

Our self contained, purpose built Nursery is divided into specially equipped rooms to accommodate different age groups. We have indoor and outdoor facilities, including a woodland garden area, vegetable plots and play equipment. There are facilities for arts and crafts, construction, sand and water play, music and movement in each room.

All areas surrounding the Nursery including the entrance and play area are carefully monitored, ensuring parents of their children’s safety while in our care. The front entrance is operated by fingerprint door entry system.

The staff at Childsplay understand the nature and learning outcomes of different types of play and are able to structure meaningful, enjoyable play provision for each age range and individual need. Working with such a wide selection of materials provides an opportunity to develop language and communication skills, firm motor skills, colour and shape perception and many other cognitive skills. We are able to facilitate children who do not have English as their first language. The children throughout the nursery enjoy cooking, the 3-5 year olds start to learn basic computer skills and our 4 year olds are introduced to basic French.
